Eichenbühl is a district of the municipality Weißenbrunn in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach in Bavaria .

geography

The village is located about six kilometers south of the district town of Kronach on a western slope, above the Zweinzen stream. The place is characterized by large agricultural properties. The traffic development takes place through communal roads that connect Eichenbühl with Hummendorf and Reuth as well as in the opposite, southern direction with Hain .

history

It was first mentioned in 1344 when Hans II von Redwitz sold goods from Eichenbühl to the Sonnefeld monastery . In 1414 Michel von Schaumberg acquired a tithe from Jorg von Kotzau for the entire village of "Eichenpühl". According to a description of the main team Cronach from the year 1565, the Bamberg bishop owned an estate in the village of “Aichenpül”, Merttin Wolff von Redtwitz had three estates and Clauss zu Schaumberg had an estate.

In 1678 Hans Wilhelm von Redwitz zu Redwitz sold two farms in Eichenbühl to Christian Karl von Giech , which in 1716 became the property of Countess von Brockdorff zu Schney . In 1728 Johann Veit von Würtzburg in Eichenbühl also acquired the property from Countess Brockdorff. In 1792 Eichenbühl belonged to three manors. These were the Mitwitz rulership of the Freiherrn von Würtzburg with a whole yard and two half yards, the Ebneth estate of the Freiherr von Seckendorff with two half yards and the Unterlangenstadt - Burkersdorf estate of the Freiherrn von Redwitz with a whole estate and a little estate .

As a result of the Reichsdeputation Hauptschluss , Eichenbühl became the property of the Electorate of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century . In 1818 the rural community Eichenbühl was established. It consisted of six places, the village of Eichenbühl and the five wildernesses book, hole house, Neutennig, Obertennig and Untertennig.

In 1862 the rural community of Eichenbühl was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office of Kronach . In 1871 the main town, the village of Eichenbühl, had 42 inhabitants, all of whom were Protestant. The Protestant parish was 3.0 kilometers away in Weißenbrunn, the Protestant denominational school in Hummendorf, 1.5 kilometers away. In 1900 the 166 hectare rural community had 68 inhabitants, 66 of whom were Protestant and 2 were Catholic. The hamlet of Eichenbühl had 47 residents and 8 residential buildings. Lochhaus was no longer run as a district.

In 1925 51 people lived in 8 residential buildings in the main town. The community had 75 inhabitants. In 1950 Eichenbühl had 78 residents and 8 residential buildings. The majority of the residents belonged to the Protestant parish in Weißenbrunn. The Catholic residents were parish in Theisenort. In 1970 the village of Eichenbühl had 62 inhabitants. In 1987 94 inhabitants lived in 29 residential buildings with 33 apartments.

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Eichenbühl was incorporated into Weißenbrunn on July 1, 1971. In 1974 the village was the district winner in the national competition “ Our village should be more beautiful ”.
