Life

Von Stuckenbrok was born the son of an architect and a teacher and grew up in Bremen and on the Beetzsee in Brandenburg . At the age of 14 he moved to Berlin , where he attended the state school for artistry . Four days before completing his training, he dropped out of school due to artistic differences. "There were constant fundamental discussions", he explained his decision. "What is artistry, what can artistry be?"

During his training he was discovered in 2008 by the director Markus Pabst for the show SOAP in the Berlin Varieté Theater Chamäleon . For the television gala of the Teddy Award of the Berlin Film Festival 2009 he developed the handstand performance on a CREAP mannequin , with which he also appeared in the English television show Paul O'Grady (2009) and the French television show Soiré de Noël (2009). In January 2010 he won the bronze medal with CREAP at the 31st Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris .

He appeared as a dancer in the variety show at the Made in Berlin winter garden and in a double pole performance with his colleague Rémy Martin. This was followed by invitations to the ARD Saturday evening show Understand Fun and the ZDF TV Garden . From CREAP , von Stuckenbroks developed his first directorial work, the variety show DUMMY , with which he appeared in 2011 in Münster and Munich and in 2012 in Bad Oeynhausen and Essen . On December 5, 2011, he was invited by Queen Elizabeth II to perform at the benefit gala Royal Variety Performance in Manchester .

In January 2014, von Stuckenbrok in Cambodia was hit by a car. A knee broke, the shoulder and arm remained immobile, and two nerves tore. Doctors predict long-term rehabilitation . But in October he was back on stage and played the leading role in Odyssey Complex at Tanzfabrik Berlin . With DUMMY LAB he followed up his early directorial work from 2011 in the Chameleon in spring 2015 , developing it into an avant-garde art, video and music show. In Huangshan , China , he staged a show with 40 young circus artists with his fellow director Markus Pabst from Berlin and the choreographer Yang Liping .

In 2017 Stuckenbrok moved into a ten-meter-high artist hall on the Holzmarkt site in Berlin-Friedrichshain . His new production Le Petit Bleu & The Leftovers started there in May .

Von Stuckenbrok belongs to the Base Berlin artists' network in the Kreuzberg district and the Birdmilk Collective in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
