action

Pharmacist Dr. Justus Brandt is a patriarch through and through. It's been 18 years since his wife Bettina divorced the conservative philistine. Since then he has lived alone with his three children in a large house in Tübingen. Everything goes as usual when, completely unexpectedly, a woman enters Brandt's life who is both attractive and quite mysterious. Her name is Gabriela von Holthüs, is well and happily 20 years younger than him and turns the head of the aging petty bourgeois.

Brandt absolutely wants to marry her, but now his children are causing trouble because they are very reluctant to marry the father's intention. Nobody suspects that Gabriela is surrounded by a dark secret with which she threatens to plunge the rest of the Brandt family into a social abyss. Time to inform Bettina about the dramatic developments, who promptly returns to Tübingen in order to save her children and the ex-husband from making a far-reaching wrong decision.
