Eisfabrik is a German electro and future pop band. It was founded in winter 2011/2012 by Charly Barth-Ricklefs (formerly Shadow-Minds) and Gerrit Thomas (inter alia Funker Vogt ).

history

As part of the 7th Darkflower Live Night in Leipzig , Eisfabrik presented itself to an audience for the first time on October 4, 2014. At the beginning of 2015 she founded her own music label Eismusik. The debut album When Winter Comes was released on February 13, 2015, and Jan Bertram has been an integral part of the band ever since. In 2015 Eisfabrik supported the band Project Pitchfork on their Blood tour through 20 German cities.

At the end of 2015, the band takeover contract was signed with the NoCut label, where the album Eisplanet was released in the same year . At the end of the year she played for the first time at the 4th Gothic Meets Klassik Festival in Haus Auensee in Leipzig and the Dark Storm Festival in Chemnitz .

In 2016 Eisfabrik successfully accompanied the band Mono Inc. on their Terlingua tour through 13 German cities. Among other things, Eisfabrik played at the 12th Nocturnal Culture Night in the Kulturpark Deutzen and at the Autumn Moon Festival in Hameln .

Through her tours with Project Pitchfork and Mono Inc. , Eisfabrik was made accessible to a wider audience, so she decided on her own first headlining tour, the "Non-Summer Tour", through seven cities. Her third studio album, Eighteen Hundred Underrunts, was released in time for the start . Shortly after the end of the tour, she played for the first time at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig in the Agra and the Amphi Festival in the Kölner Tanzbrunnen . In the second half of the same year their second headliner tour "Kaltgebiete" began, which extended into spring 2018, with their fourth album Null Kelvin in their luggage . Further appearances followed u. a. at the Etropolis Festival in Oberhausen , Call the Ship to Port on the MS Rheinenergie in Cologne , the M'era Luna Festival in Hildesheim , the Autumn Moon Festival in Hameln and the Dark Storm Festival in Chemnitz .

An appearance at the ORUS Light Festival in Mexico City followed in November . Renè Dornbusch has been a permanent member of Eisfabrik as an e-drummer since the end of 2018. In 2019 Eisfabrik was on the "Hybridize Festival Tour 2019" in the cities of Hamburg , Oberhausen , Munich and Leipzig with the bands Agonoize and Funker Vogt . Eisfabrik also performed at the Summer Summit Festival in Oschatz , Black Castle Festival 2019 in Mannheim and the Nocturna Festival 2019 in Barcelona , Spain . The third headliner tour "Kryothermalfeste" began in winter 2019 through 13 German cities. Many concerts such as Berlin , Leipzig and Dresden were sold out.

Eisfabrik has been under contract with the music label RepoRecords since autumn 2019. In 2019 the EP Rotationsausfall was released in the Eisfabrik , followed by the fifth studio album Kryothermalmusik from the Eisfabrik on January 24, 2020 , which was featured in the official German album charts for the first time .
