El Rosario is a town in the Beni department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
El Rosario is a village in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Santa Rosa in the province of Ballivián . The center is located at an altitude of 135 m on the left, western bank of the Río Geneshuaya , which flows downriver in a northerly direction after 137 kilometers into the Río Beni .

El Rosario is located in the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in the alluvial plain between the Río Beni and the Río Yata in a year-round humid climate.
The annual average temperature of the region is 26 ° C (see climate diagram Rurrenabaque) and fluctuates only marginally between 23 ° C in June and July and a good 27 ° C from October to December.
