The municipality of Santa Rosa de Yacuma (short: Santa Rosa ) is a district in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The municipality of Santa Rosa is one of four municipalities in the province of Ballivián and is located in the northeastern part of the province. It borders on the municipality of Reyes to the west, the municipality of San Borja to the south, the province of Yacuma to the east , and the province of Vaca Díez to the north .

The largest town and administrative center in the municipality is the city of Santa Rosa with 4,727 inhabitants ( 2001 ) in the southern part of the municipality.

Waters

The Río Yacuma flows through the municipality in the southern part from west to east , in the central part from west to east the Río Yata , and in the west on the border with the municipality Reyes in the north of the Río Biata . In the southwest of the province on the border with the Municipio Reyes is the freshwater lake Laguna Rogagua .
