El Zulia is a municipality ( municipio ) in Departamento de Norte Santander in Colombia . El Zulia is part of the Cúcuta metropolitan area .

geography

El Zulia is located in the Metropolitana region in Norte de Santander at an altitude of 220 meters, 12 km from Cúcuta and has an average annual temperature of 30 ° C. The municipality borders Cúcuta to the north and east, San Cayetano and Santiago to the south and Sardinata and Gramalote to the west .
