Elfmorgen is a German punk band from Friedberg in der Wetterau, which was founded in 2002.
They have been under contract with Long Beach Records Europe since 2019 , and in the same year they signed with the booking agency Spider-Promotion from Hanover .
history
In 2002 Andy Schmaus founded the band Elfmorgen together with Patrick Wüst and Marco Nowak; Before that, they played with the second guitarist Jens Nagel and Marc Dresel on bass since 1992 in the band Office Tart . The debut album Unz Gehz Gut was released in 1994. In the same year they won the young rock competition in Windecken and in 1997 the "Coca Cola City Rock" band competition for Hessen, and their song Lach mit mir appeared on the City-Rock - The Final Showdown sampler . After a line-up on bass, the band decided to change the English name Office Tart to Elfmorgen .
Elevenmorgen won a number of band competitions, including the 2009 audience voting for You FM Night at Hessentag in Langenselbold , where they played with Mia , Culcha Candela and Itchy Poopzkid .
From 2016 to 2018 Elfmorgen were regularly on the road as support for Kapelle Petra , played over 30 shows with them all over Germany and were able to earn a large Germany-wide fan base. In 2018 they also played at the Ringrocker Warm Up Party by Rock am Ring . They also played with bands such as Montreal , Falling Carrier Pigeons , Sondaschule and Java the Cat .
The band plays regularly at the Trebur Open Air , the Karben Open Air , the Eier mit Speck and the Open Flair Festival in Eschwege . The band played one of their biggest appearances in the summer of 2018, when they spontaneously appeared as co-headliners at the Open Flair Festival in front of Feine Sahne Fischfilet on the lake stage. In the summer of 2019 they played with Schmutzki , Tim Vantol , Muff Potter and Frank Turner at the big open air at Schlachthof Wiesbaden .
Since 2017 the band has been holding an annual final concert under the title Elfmorgen und Freunde . In 2017 it took place in Frankfurt Nightlife , 2018 in Batschkapp Frankfurt and 2019 in the Wiesbaden slaughterhouse .
Since September 2018, Elfmorgen and the band Blackout Problems have been sponsoring the “School without Racism” campaign of the Friedrich Wilhelm School in Eschwege.
On November 29, 2019, Long Beach Records Europe released the album Heimat , which was supported by the Initiative Musik . The album was produced, among others, by Mike Timmermann, who was also involved in several Sondaschule productions. The album Heimat was mastered by Pete Maher from England, who masters records for bands like U2 and the Rolling Stones .
Elfmorgen was able to win over the internationally known artist SBÄM from Austria for the cover design . His work includes artwork for bands like NOFX , Bad Religion , Pennywise , Lagwagon and Rantanplan .
The album Heimat reached number 10 in the Metal Hammer editorial chart “The best albums 2019”.
In spring 2020 they played their first own Germany-wide tour, which had to be interrupted by the corona pandemic .
ELFMORGEN have been involved in a wide variety of anti-fascist organizations since they were founded, their song Brauner Bär is on the “Don't want to be Nazis” spotify playlist.
