Eli Babalj (born February 21, 1992 in Sarajevo , SFR Yugoslavia ) is an Australian football player .
Career
society
Eli Babalj learned to play football at the Football West National Training Center , on the youth team of Perth Glory and the Australian Institute of Sport . He signed his first contract with Melbourne City FC in Melbourne in 2010 . After 35 games and eleven goals, he moved to Europe in 2012 , where he signed a contract with FK Red Star Belgrade in Serbia . The club from Belgrade played in the first division, the SuperLiga . In January 2013 he returned to his former club Melbourne City FC. In mid-2013 he went back to Europe. Here he joined AZ Alkmaar from the Dutch city of Alkmaar . Since he was not used in Alkmaar in the Eredivisie , he was loaned the back series in 2015 to the league competitor PEC Zwolle from Zwolle . The following season he was loaned to Adelaide United in Australia . With the club he became champions in Australia. After the contract was not extended in mid-2016, it was without a club until January 2017. From February to July 2017, his former club Adelaide United took him back under contract. In August 2017 he went back to Europe. Here he signed a contract with the Czech club FK Mladá Boleslav in the Central Bohemian city of Mladá Boleslav .
