The Erbachhof is a residential area belonging to the Neustadt an der Rems district of the city of Waiblingen in the Rems-Murr district in Baden-Württemberg .

location

The Erbachhof is located near the eponymous Erbach , a right tributary of the Rems , near the municipality of Schwaikheim . In the hamlet, the district boundaries run between Waiblingen and Schwaikheim and between Waiblingen and Korb . The hamlet has retained its originally agricultural appearance.

history

The hamlet was first mentioned in 1344 as Erlbach near Swaikein (Schwaikheim). At that time the Erbachhof was a Württemberg fiefdom of the Dürner family. In 1560 the Erbachhof came into the possession of the city of Waiblingen. In 1682 it was acquired by the ducal chamber clerk . These ownership structures are confirmed by the description of the Waiblingen Oberamt from 1850 for the year 1744. The hamlet was assigned to the Kammerschreibereigut Schlosshofmeisterei Winnental. In 1799 the community of Neustadt acquired the Erbachhof from the Kammerschreibererei. The description of the Oberamt Waiblingen from 1850 states that the hamlet consists of 4 families . On January 1, 1975, the hamlet was incorporated into the town of Waiblingen together with Neustadt as part of the community reform.

traffic

The hamlet is connected by roads to Schwaikheim and Neustadt as well as to federal highway 14 and, as a continuation, to Korb. The Waiblingen – Schwäbisch Hall-Hessental railway runs between Erbachhof and Schwaikheim . The Waiblingen circular bike path runs through the Erbachhof.
