Eric Nathan M. Kendrick (* 29. February 1992 in Clovis , California ) is an American American football poker players. He currently plays with the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL) as a linebacker .

college

After Kendricks had already proven his talent in high school, where he also played other positions, he attended the University of California from 2010 to 2014 . He set a number of school records, including a total of 481 tackles in his five years in college and the first UCLA player to win the Butkus Award , which is given annually to the best linebacker in college football .

NFL

In the 2015 NFL Draft , he was selected in the 2nd round as the 45th player by the Minnesota Vikings . Kendricks was awarded a four-year contract worth more than $ 5 million. Eric's father, Thagon Kendricks, was a professional football player. He never made the leap into the NFL and played as a running back in the Canadian Football League . Eric's brother Mychal Kendricks has also been a linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles since 2012 .
