Eric Taylor (born October 18, 1976 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is a former American basketball player who was active in the German basketball league from 2006 to 2010 .

Career

Before his professional career, Eric Taylor played basketball at St. Francis College in Pennsylvania and moved from this college to France . As a result, he played for different clubs all over the world, often only a few games up to a maximum of six months.

In 2004 he returned to Polonia from Warsaw , for whom he had already played in the first half of 2003, and not only stayed with this club for the entire season, but was also active there in the following season, in which he made 26 appearances came to an average of 11.5 points and 8.8 rebounds. In September 2006, the Bayer Giants from Leverkusen announced that they had committed Taylor for the 2006/07 season , in which he completed all Bundesliga games of the regular season and was able to collect 10.2 points and 6 rebounds per game. The season for Eric Taylor and Bayer Giants Leverkusen ended with the end in the first play-off round against EnBW Ludwigsburg . In the following season he continued to play a leading role in the "Giant from the Rhine" and scored 10.6 points per game before he was suspended by the club at the end of the season in May 2008.

For the 2008/2009 season , he moved to Brose Baskets from Bamberg until his contract was terminated prematurely on February 12, 2010 by mutual agreement. He then switched to the Giants from Düsseldorf , who had acquired the Leverkusen license in 2008. So he returned to the Giants, for whom he played from 2006 to 2008. With that he missed the double , which the Bambergers achieved at the end of the season, instead he could not prevent the Düsseldorf from falling to a relegation place. The Giants could only stay in the league by purchasing a wild card . Taylor, however, did not receive a new contract. He then returned to Poland in the local league and played at KKS Siarka in Tarnobrzeg . In the summer of 2011 he was still active for the Belgrade team in the Eurobasket.com Summer League .

Eric Taylor is married with one son (Eric Jr.). Taylor's great hobby is astrology .
