The Eritrean-East Timorese relations describe the intergovernmental relationship between Eritrea and East Timor .
history
The Eritrean diplomat Tamrat Samuel , who works for the United Nations , played a key role in the negotiations between Portugal and Indonesia on the future of East Timor . From 1994 to 1998 he organized and moderated five rounds of the all-encompassing Inner-East Timorese dialogue. During the 1999 independence referendum in East Timor , Samuel headed the office of the United Nations Mission in East Timor (UNAMET) in Jakarta .
Both states belong to the Movement of Non-Aligned States , the AKP Group and the Group of 77 .
diplomacy
The two states have no diplomatic missions in the other country.
Entry requirements
East Timorese citizens need a visa for Eritrea. Eritreans receive a tourist visa upon arrival in East Timor.
economy
For 2018, the East Timorese Statistical Office does not indicate any trade relations between Eritrea and East Timor.
