The Namibian-East Timorese relations describe the intergovernmental relationship between Namibia and East Timor .

history

Namibia participated with personnel in the United Nations support mission in East Timor (UNMISET). It also provided police officers for the United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste (UNMIT).

On October 1, 2003, Namibia and East Timor established diplomatic relations.

Namibia has had observer status with the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries since 2014, while East Timor is a regular member. Both states also belong to the Movement of Non-Aligned States , the AKP Group and the Group of 77 .

The two countries do not have any diplomatic missions in the other country. The Namibian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia ) is also responsible for East Timor. Namibia's current ambassador Anne Namakau Mutelo presented her accreditation to East Timor's President Francisco Guterres on February 28, 2019 .

For 2018, the East Timor’s statistical office does not give any trade relations between Namibia and East Timor.
