The Egyptian-East Timorese relations describe the interstate relationship between Egypt and East Timor .

history

Egypt and East Timor established diplomatic relations in April 2006.

For the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET), the United Nations Mission of Support in East Timor (UNMISET) and the United Nations Integrated Mission in East Timor (UNMIT) Egypt provided 17 police officers available.

The Al-Azhar provided five scholarships for East Timorese students available and sent imams to East Timor for religious education.

In June 2009, East Timor's Honorary Consul in Beirut, Joseph Issa in Sharm El Sheikh, visited the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Organization (IRENA). In July, he accompanied Foreign Minister Zacarias da Costa at the 15th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement in Sharm El Sheikh.

For 2016, the East Timor’s Statistical Office registered imports from Egypt to the value of 115,000 US dollars, which puts Egypt in 37th place among East Timorese importers. There were no exports or re-exports to Egypt from East Timor. In 2018, Egypt no longer appears as a trading partner in East Timor’s statistics.
