The Iranian-East Timorese relations describe the interstate relationship between Iran and East Timor .

Iran has neither an embassy in East Timor, nor East Timor a diplomatic mission in Iran. The Iranian embassy in Jakarta , Indonesia is also responsible for East Timor.

Both countries are members of the Non-Aligned Movement .

economy

Both states generate a large part of their income from their oil deposits. For 2018, the East Timor’s statistical office reports imports from Iran worth 319,000 US dollars, which puts Iran in 34th place among the importers in East Timor. Exports were not registered.

Sports

The Brazilian- born East Timorese footballer Pedro Henrique Oliveira played for the Iranian Sepahan FC from 2016 to 2017 .
