The East Timorese-Syrian relations describe the intergovernmental relationship between East Timor and Syria .

history

East Timor and Syria have diplomatic relations. There was no planned visit by East Timorese officials in 2010/2011 due to the political situation in Syria.

The UN Security Council Resolution 2118 on the destruction of chemical weapons in Syria welcomed East Timor in 2012. The government condemned all use of weapons of mass destruction, regardless of who. At the same time, the East Timorese government emphasized its grief over the civil war in Syria since 2011 .

The two states have no embassy in the other country.

The Syrian ambassador in Jakarta , Indonesia, is responsible for East Timor .

In Syria, East Timor's Honorary Consul in Beirut Joseph Issa represents the Southeast Asian country.

economy

For 2018, the East Timor Statistics Office does not indicate any trade relations between East Timor and Syria.
