history

Pakistan participated with personnel in most of the UN missions in East Timor: INTERFET , UNTAET , UNMISET , UNOTIL and UNMIT . Pakistan has repeatedly called for a referendum on the future of the controversial Jammu and Kashmir , with reference to the 1999 East Timor referendum on independence .

The two countries have no diplomatic missions in the other country.

The Pakistani embassy in Jakarta , Indonesia is also responsible for East Timor.

economy

In 2018, the East Timorese Statistical Office registered imports from Pakistan valued at 10,254,000 US dollars, placing Pakistan in 10th place among the countries of origin. The goods included broken rice and cement . There were also re-exports from East Timor to Pakistan amounting to 24,000 US dollars (16th place).
