Erman Güraçar (born August 24, 1974 in Ankara ) is a former Turkish football player and official.

Player career

society

Güraçar began his professional football career in 1994 with third division club TKİ Soma Linyitspor . With this club he experienced in the third division season 1993/94 the playoff victory of the league and thus the first ascent in the club's history in the 2nd Turkish professional league. In the first second division season Güraçar sat almost exclusively on the bench and only made a few appearances. In the second second division season, however, he captured a regular place. Through his achievements he made the clubs of the upper league aware of himself. So he moved in the summer of 1996 to the first division club Denizlispor . With this club he was relegated to the second division again after just one season. After relegation he stayed at Denizlispor and played one more season.

For the 1998/99 season Güraçar moved to the first division team Samsunspor . At this club he quickly won a regular place and also proved himself in the top Turkish league. After two years for Samsunspor, Güraçar moved to Istanbul's top club Beşiktaş . At this club he was often used by head coach Nevio Scala and completed 25 league games in his first season. In the second season he lost his regular place and was more likely to play as a supplementary player.

After Beşiktaş hired a new coach with Mircea Lucescu for the 2002/03 season , this sorted out some players and put them on the sales list. So Güraçar had to leave the club and came to an agreement with Trabzonspor for the coming season . Here he was used by head coach Samet Aybaba in 27 league games, mostly over the full length of the game. With this team Güraçar won the Turkish Cup of the 2002/03 season at the end of the season .

Despite this good season, he left Trabzonspor and moved to Bursaspor within the Süper Lig . At this club he came to many stakes, but he left this again after missing relegation in the summer of 2004. Instead, Güraçar hired his old club Samsunspor. But after he was only used in three games until the winter break, Güraçar moved again and this time went to Gaziantepspor . For this club he only played one year and then moved to the capital club MKE Ankaragücü in the spring of 2006 . He also left this club after half a season and switched to his previous club Denizlispor instead. Here he managed to jump back into the regular formation and so he completed 31 of 34 possible league games by the end of the season.

From the summer of 2007 Güraçar continued his career in the 2nd Turkish league and only played for Kocaelispor . With this he was second division champion of the 2007/2008 season and rose to the Süper Lig . Since his expired one-year contract was not renewed, Güraçar moved to Manisaspor in the summer of 2008 . With this club, too, he ended the season as a second division champion and thus achieved promotion. After this success he left his employer again and this time went to the second division side Bucaspor. With this club, too, achieved promotion to the Süper Lig by winning the runner-up. This time, Güraçar was kept in the squad and so played in the top Turkish league again after four years. After relegation was missed, he got down with his team and played another year in the TFF 1st Lig . He then ended his active playing career in February 2012 and switched to club management.

National team

Güraçar was appointed to the squad of the Turkish national team for the first time in his first year for Beşiktaş by the then Turkish national coach Şenol Güneş . In the WM2002 - qualifier against Sweden he sat on the bench, but did not come to a stake.

In 2003 he was nominated for the second selection of the Turkish national team and completed an international match for this selection.

Functionary career

Following his playing career, he took over the post of sports manager at his last club, Bucaspor. He was then dismissed from this position in February 2013.
