Ernst-Dietrich Kreuser
Ernst-Dietrich Kreuser (born September 3, 1945 in Lichtenstern near Heilbronn ) is a German hematologist and oncologist .
Career
Kreuser attended the Rudolf Steiner School in Ulm . He studied in Hamburg and Bonn human medicine and doctorate to Dr. med. in the Pathological Institute of the University of Lübeck .
From 1980 to 1989 he was a research assistant at Hermann Heimpel in the Department of Internal Medicine III and Hematology and Oncology at the Ulm University Hospital . There he completed his habilitation in 1987 on the subject of “Incidence and prognosis of reproductive and endocrine dysfunction after curative cytostatic chemotherapy in patients with malignant diseases”. For his habilitation thesis he was awarded the Vincenz-Czerny Prize by the German Society for Hematology and Oncology in Würzburg in 1987 .
From 1989 to 1997 Kreuser was senior physician in charge of Eckhard Thiel in the Department of Hematology and Oncology at the Benjamin Franklin University Hospital in Berlin . There he investigated the importance of adhesion molecules for malignant transformation and metastasis as part of the DFG priority program "Molecular Basics of Cell-Matrix Interactions in Biology and Medicine " . In 1994 he received the Benjamin Franklin University Hospital Science Award for this .
1993 was Kreuser a call to a C3 professor at the University Hospital of Dresden . From 1997 to 2012 he was chief physician at the Clinic for Oncology and Hematology at the Barmherzige Brüder Hospital in Regensburg .
Since 2012 Kreuser worked in his field in a private medical group practice in Regensburg .
