In 2017 the EuropaChorAkademie in Görlitz resumed its activities. This was made possible by funding from the city of Görlitz and above all from the federal government. The EuropaChorAkademie gGmbH was founded as the new sponsor.

Choral pedagogical work

The EuropaChorAkademie developed at the interface between university and school with leading specialists and music educators, u. a. from the Venezuela choir movement, interdisciplinary cultural mediation projects and choral theater projects especially for working with students in so-called socially disadvantaged areas. The interdisciplinary and transnational school project series "ErlebnisMusik" set itself the task of opening up new perspectives in the (music) cultural field for young people and motivating them to perform special works of classical choral symphonies. “ErlebnisMusik” offered an educational accompanying program on the work and topic for selected concerts. Especially in the north of Bremen, the EuropaChorAkademie regularly developed artistic projects together with local schools.
