Eva Be
Eva Be (born before 1989 in East Berlin ) is a German DJ and music producer .
As a DJ and producer, Eva Be has been part of the Sonar collective , the Jazzanova label from Berlin, since her first release Below (2002) . Her first Maxi Eve’s time tonite was released in May 2004 and was soon sold in record stores around the world. The EP contains, among other things, the first original version of the track No Memory of Time , a collaboration with the singer of Fat Freddy's Drop , Dallas Tamaira . Radio stations like the Austrian FM4 and the Berlin radio station Radio Eins played songs by Eva Be, which made No Memory Of Time number 2 on the Radio Eins charts.
Her second EP Alleè Viree also received recognition. Eva Be is now also in demand as a remixer . This includes remixes for the following artists: Micatone , Ady Zehnpfennig , Jah Wobble , Dublex Inc., Tolcha, Markus Enorchson, Recloose, Horace Andy , Märtini Brös , Ben Ivory , Kasar, Lukas Greenberg and others.
In July 2007 her debut album Moving without Traveling was released , where she worked with artists such as Joe Dukie ( Fat Freddy's Drop ), RQM ( Jahcoozi ), Sugar B ( Kruder & Dorfmeister ), Pegah Ferydoni ( Turkish for beginners ) and David Ben-Porat ( Mousse T. ) worked together. With her LP Moving Without Traveling ( Sonar Kollektiv ) she conquered the dub and reggae music scene.
Together with Boris Meinhold ( guitar and electronics), Sebastian Borkowski ( saxophone ), David Ben-Porat ( trumpet ) and Kristiina Tuomi (vocals) she played as the opening act for the New Zealand band The Black Seeds on their England tour and in 2007 as an opening act for Fat Freddy's Drop in the Berlin Club Postbahnhof at the Ostbahnhof .
After a year-long baby break, Eva Be returned to the club scene in 2009 and concentrated on house- oriented music. In the course of this she released a number of EPs on various music labels and toured as a DJ across Europe.
In 2014 she teamed up with DJ Clé ( Märtini Brös , Poker Flat Recordings ) on a new project. Under the name LoYoTo, the two released their first EP together, Looking at the starz, on the Upon.You Records label and others on Watergate Records and Foul & Sunk Recordings.
In January 2019, after a long solo break, their new EP "BElight" was released on the Poker Flat Recordings label. It reached number 1 in the German Club Charts.
