Evangelist window in Dinan

The Evangelist window in the Basilica of St-Sauveur in Dinan , a French town in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany , was created between 1480 and 1490. The stained glass window was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique in 1882 .

The four-part window in the Saint-Mathurin chapel comes from an unknown workshop. In the top row it shows the four evangelists John , Matthew , Mark and Luke with their attributes . In the tracery , the coronation of Mary can be seen surrounded by angels making music .

In the lower row the following saints are represented: Mathurin , Armel , Ivo Hélory and Brieuc . This part was created in 1853 from a cardboard box by Pierre Hawke .
