Life of John the Baptist (Moncontour)
The window Life of John the Baptist in the Catholic Church of Notre-Dame-St-Mathurin in Moncontour , a French commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department in the Brittany region , was created between 1535 and 1540. The leaded glass window was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1862 as Monument historique .
The window in the choir was created by an unknown workshop. It shows various scenes from the life of John the Baptist (see captions).
The three angels in the tracery were created by Albert Bonnot in 1891/93.
In addition to the window Life of John the Baptist , five other windows from the Renaissance period have been preserved in the church (see navigation bar).
