Evert Linthorst (born March 3, 2000 ) is a Dutch football player .

He has played for VVV-Venlo since his youth and is currently part of the professional team. He was also part of the squad of the Dutch U19 national team .

Career

As a child, Evert Linthorst joined the Venlo- based amateur club, Venlosche Boys , before moving to the joint youth academy of VVV-Venlo and Helmond Sport , which merged with the joint youth academy of PSV Eindhoven and FC Eindhoven on July 1, 2013 RJO PSV-EHV . In 2016, Linthorst returned to the Venlosche Boys before he received a professional contract with VVV a year later, where he continued to work for the A-youth (U19) of the joint junior academy ( RJO PSV-EHV ). Evert Linthorst played his first game in the Eredivisie on April 19, 2018 in the 1: 4 away defeat against Ajax Amsterdam . At the end of the 2017/18 season , the professional team managed to stay in league with 15th place in the table. In the following season he came to 13 appearances in the top Dutch league, but ran on for the A-youth as well as for the reserve team; the professional team of VVV-Venlo ended the season in 12th place in the table.

National team

Evert Linthorst was part of the Dutch U19 national team , but was not used.
