Express InterCity
Express InterCity ( EIC for short ) is an international type of domestic long-distance train operated in Poland by PKP Intercity , a subsidiary of the Polskie Koleje Państwowe railway company .
Route network
PKP Intercity offers several IC routes within Poland, most of which are aimed at the capital Warsaw :
- from Warsaw via Szczecin to Swinoujscie
- from Warsaw via Poznan to Wroclaw
- from Warsaw to Bielsko-Biała
- from Warsaw to Gliwice
- from Warsaw to Krakow
- from Krakow via Warsaw and Gdansk to Gdynia
With the Express InterCity Premium, another train type has been offered since December 2014 , under which traffic with the high-speed trains of the PKP series ED250 are classified. On the Express InterCity Premium routes, numerous Express InterCity trains have been replaced by Express InterCity Premium trains.
