InterCity (Czech Republic)
InterCity (short form IC ) is an international type of train in domestic long-distance traffic, which is offered in the Czech Republic by ČD . The InterCity consist of locomotive-hauled trains with modernized wagons, but the class 471 "City Elefant" is also occasionally used as IC 542/543.
The following routes are served by IC connections (timetable from June 14 to December 12, 2015):

With the exception of IC 572 and 573, all IC connections connect Prague with Olomouc. The SuperCity and the private transport companies Regiojet and Leo Express also operate on this route .
The SuperCity Pendolino , SC for short , was introduced for the ČD series 680 ( Pendolino ) based on the IC . These run from Františkovy Lázně via Pilsen , Prague, Olomouc, Ostrava and Žilina to Košice ( Slovakia ).
Until June 14, 2015, Regiojet also used the “InterCity” (IC) train type for its national connections. Since then, all (national and international) Regiojet connections have been run as an independent train type with the abbreviation RJ.
