Fabian Stumm
Fabian Stumm (* 1981 in Koblenz ) is a German actor .
Life
Stumm is the grandson of the painter Richard Stumm . In 2001 he moved to New York City , where he studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute until 2003 .
He has been working as a freelance actor since 2005 and has played at Ballhaus Ost , HAU - Hebbel am Ufer , Theater Neumarkt and the Münchner Kammerspiele , among others .
He was a member of the Israeli artist Keren Cytter's dance and performance company DIE NOW and played on their international tour at Tate Modern in London , Tramway Glasgow and The Kitchen in New York. In January 2010 he took part in the world premiere of Keren Cytter's full-length dance piece The True Story of John Webber at the Berlin theater HAU - Hebbel am Ufer . With Cytter's Show Real Drama , in which he played the leading role alongside Susanne Meyer , he has been seen at HAU - Hebbel am Ufer, Theater Neumarkt , Tate Modern and other houses in Europe, Asia and the USA since 2011 .
He made his film debut in 2007 in the short film Von Fall zu Fall by Sascha Quednau . In 2010 he starred, again under the direction of Quednau, in Neon Aura , a film adaptation of the short story Good Old Neon by David Foster Wallace . He was also seen in 56 by Lars Löllmann , who was nominated for the best short film at the 2012 Max Ophüls Film Festival.
In 2011 he took on a leading role alongside Rudolf Martin , Kristina Klebe , Ben Bela Böhm and Janina Elkin in the feature film Bela Kiss: Prologue by Lucien Förstner , a horror thriller about the Hungarian serial killer Béla Kiss , which was released in theaters in January 2013. He then appeared in the post-war drama Lore by Cate Shortland ( Somersault - Wie Parfum in der Luft ), which won the Audience Award at the Locarno Film Festival and the German Film Prize in bronze in 2013, and alongside Brit Marling and Jack Huston in the Romantic Comedy Posthumous by See Lulu Wang.
His television works include the comedy Bella Casa - Nobody Moves Out Here! (2013) with Andrea Sawatzki and Züli Aladag 's thriller Die Fahnderin (2013) with Katja Riemann .
