Fagner , whose full name is Fagner Conserva Lemos (born June 11, 1989 in São Paulo ), is a Brazilian soccer player who has been playing for his former youth club Corinthians São Paulo since 2014 . His preferred position is right back.
Career
Fagner comes from the youth of Corinthians São Paulo from Brazil. There he rose to the professional squad in the course of 2006 and played in seven games until February 2007, before being loaned to the second division club EC Vitória until summer 2007 , where he won the Bahia State Championship . Then PSV Eindhoven signed him. There he made his debut on the first day of the 2007/08 season. He scored his first goal on August 25, 2007 in a 5-0 win over NEC Nijmegen . Since he won the championship in his first year in Eindhoven, but only made three appearances, his contract was terminated in September 2008.
In winter 2008 he received a contract in Brazil with CR Vasco da Gama . For the 2012/13 season , Fagner moved to Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg.
Before the 2013/14 season , Fagner switched back to CR Vasco da Gama on loan until the end of the year.
In January 2014, he was loaned out to his home club Corinthians São Paulo until December 31, 2014 and then firmly committed.
National team
Fagner has been playing for the Brazilian national team since 2017. In the squad for the national soccer team he was scheduled by national coach Tite as a reserve player. After regular player Danilo injured himself in the first game against Switzerland at the beginning of the tournament, he was in the starting line-up for the team's four remaining games.
Also during the 2019 Copa América was Fagner in the squad of the team. With this he was able to win the title. He did not come to use.
