Fahrudin Melić (born July 22, 1984 in Prijepolje , SR Serbia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Montenegrin handball player who is mostly used on the right winger.
Career
The 1.83 m tall and 90 kg heavy left-hander comes from the talent factory of RK Bosna Sarajevo . There he made his debut in the Premier League at the age of 18. Except for the 2004/05 season, in which he played at MRK Zrinski Mostar, he ran for Bosna until 2010 and won six championships and five cup titles. Internationally he reached u. a. the semi-finals of the 2006/07 European Cup Winners' Cup and the 2008/09 quarter-finals. In 2010 he moved to league rivals RK Borac Banja Luka , with whom he won the cup and reached the 3rd round in the 2010/11 EHF Cup . After this season he signed the Slovenian club RK Velenje . He won two championships with Velenje and made it to the quarter-finals in the 2011/12 EHF Cup and the second round in the 2012/13 EHF Champions League . From 2013 he ran for the French club Paris Saint-Germain . In the EHF Champions League 2013/14 he qualified for the round of 16. From the 2016/17 season he was under contract with Chambéry Savoie HB . He won the French Cup with Chambéry Savoie in 2019. For the 2020/21 season he moved to Saint-Raphaël Var Handball .
Fahrudin Melić took part in the 2013 World Cup with the Montenegrin national team, but failed in the preliminary round. He was also in the provisional squad for the 2014 European Championship , but was not called into the final squad. So far, he has played 31 international matches in which he scored 102 goals.
