Barrel (unit)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The measure of the barrel was very different in its size than volume measure. The liquids and the region of validity determined the liter quantities. Liquids such as beer , wine , oil, and brandy were a distinguishing factor. When it comes to wine, a distinction is often made according to the degree of ripeness (marc, must or wine). Barrel could also be a piece measure.
