Fevzi Aytekin

Fevzi Aytekin (* 1946 in Ormanlı , Tekirdağ ) is a Turkish civil engineer and politician.

He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Işık State College of Engineering and Architecture. Aytekin later became a freelance civil engineer and plant constructor, chairman of the Tekirdağspor sports club , football official in Tekirdağ province and, finally, mayor of Tekirdağ .

In the 1995 elections he was elected to the Turkish Grand National Assembly as a member of the Democratic Left Party (DSP) for the constituency of Tekirdağ . He was a member of the Committee on the Environment and the Committee on Petitions. In the 1999 elections he was re-elected and on January 11, 1999, he was appointed Environment Minister under Prime Minister Bülent Ecevit . He is married and has two children.
