Faruk Bal

Faruk Bal (born October 28, 1950 in Argıthanı, Ilgın , Konya ) is a Turkish politician and general secretary of the right-wing extremist party of the Nationalist Movement (MHP).

He completed the Law Faculty of Istanbul University and became a judge, worked in the General Directorate of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice and in the General Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Justice from 1996–1997. In the 1999 elections he was elected for the first time for Konya in the Grand National Assembly. He became Minister of State in the Ecevit V cabinet under DSP Prime Minister Bülent Ecevit . Bal was re-elected to parliament in the 2007 election and 2011 election. He became chairman of the Parliament's Home Affairs Commission and is Secretary General of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Turkey and Japan . He was also a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe .

He is married and has four kids.
