Fikret Ünlü

Fikret Ünlü (born March 10, 1943 in Ermenek , Karaman , Turkey ; † February 19, 2019 in Istanbul ) was a Turkish teacher, director and politician .

He attended the primary school in Güneyyurt and 1963-64 the İvriz primary school teacher training facility Ereğli . From 1966 to 1967 he studied teaching at Gazi University . He also worked in managerial positions at the following schools: Mimar Sinan Elementary School in Kayseri , Konya Maarif Koleji High School in Konya and Dumlupınar Elementary School .

In the years 1974-1975 was Fikret Ünlü deputy school superintendents of Konya, 1978-1979, he worked under the former CHP -Ministerpräsidenten Bulent Ecevit in the General Directorate of Physical Education and as prime consultant.

In 1983 Ünlü left the civil service and went into politics. For ten years he was a member of the party council , deputy general secretary and treasurer of the Party of Social Democracy (SODEP) and the Social Democratic Populist Party (SHP). After the 1991 elections , he was chief advisor to the Prime Minister, which he remained until the 1995 elections . In 1995 and in the April 18, 1999 elections , he was a member of the Democratic Left Party (DSP) as a member of the Grand National Assembly for the Karaman constituency . In parliament he was a member of the committees for foreign affairs , public works, urban development, transport and tourism as well as for education, culture, youth and sport . He was Turkey's Minister of State for Youth and Sport from May 28, 1999 to August 24, 2002.

In the 2002 parliamentary elections he was re-elected as a member of the Republican People's Party (CHP).
