Masum Turk

Masum Türker (* 1951 in Mardin ) is a Turkish journalist and has succeeded Zeki Sezer as chairman of the Democratic Left Party ( Demokratik Sol Parti , DSP) since May 18, 2009 .

He is a graduate of Pertevniyal High School and Faculty of Business Administration at Istanbul University . He ran for the Right Way Party (DYP) in the 1991 elections , but was not elected. Since the 1999 elections he has been a member of the Democratic Left Party in the Grand National Assembly . He was a member of the planning and budget commission.

Under Prime Minister Bülent Ecevit he was from August 10, 2002 to November 18, 2002 as the successor to Kemal Derviş Minister for Economic Affairs in the 57th government of Turkey .
