Filial church Föllim

The branch and pilgrimage church of St. Heart of Mary is a Roman Catholic church in the north of Föllim in Lower Austria . It has been a pilgrimage church since 1724 . Originally Föllim belonged to the parish Falkenstein and came in the 12th century together with Ameis to the vicariate of the parish Asparn an der Zaya . As a branch of Ameis , it is now part of the Laa-Gaubitsch dean's office . The church and the former cemetery surrounding it are under monument protection .

A recessed , straight choir from the 16th century adjoins the simple baroque nave with a west tower from 1709, saddle roof and lunette windows . A three-storey tower with arched sound windows and an onion helmet is presented to the western gable front . The sacristy is on the south side .

The interior of the two-bay nave is covered by a lance-cap barrel on double pilasters with a fighting zone and painted belts and has plastered areas in the vault. A wooden organ gallery from around 1800 and a retracted, round-arched triumphal arch rises below it in the west . The raised, two-bay choir with a needle cap barrel has a five-part rib vault on half-column templates with bases and simple capitals from the end of the 16th century in the eastern yoke . The sacristy is vaulted by a needle cap barrel with plastered fields and a belt arch.

Most of the furnishings are high baroque. The high altar from the first quarter of the 18th century has a copy of the miraculous image of Mariahilf in a black and gold frame with a high attachment and a Trinity group , which has been in Föllim since 1724 and was attached to the altar in 1737. Gilded statues of Saints Ulrich and Prokop stand on the side offering portals . On the side altar is an oil painting of Saint Joseph restored in 1978 in a baroque frame from the second quarter of the 18th century. The pulpit from the first quarter of the 18th century has evangelist figures on the basket. The organ , in a graceful, brown-gold case, was built by Josef Silberbauer in 1783 . Other furnishings include baroque console statues of Saints Johannes Nepomuk and Antonius on the triumphal arch, a Maria Immaculate statue from the first half of the 18th century in the choir, votive images of the 14 helpers marked 1636 , an eye of God with inscription and description 1784 and one wrought iron lattice door marked 1809 .

In the former cemetery there are two baroque grave stones made of sandstone , two mercy seats with the designations 17 .. and 1739, a cross marked 1748 and a wrought iron lattice door marked 1881.
