Fiona Alison Brown (born March 31, 1995 in Stirling ) is a Scottish football player . The striker plays in Damallsvenskan in Sweden for FC Rosengård and for the Scottish national team .

Career

Fiona Brown started her career at Celtic Glasgow . In December 2013, the 18-year-old moved to the Scottish record champions Glasgow City LFC . With the club she won three championship titles in the following years, twice the cup and league cup. With Glasgow, she took part in the 2014/15 and 2016/17 UEFA Women's Champions League , playing eleven games in which she scored two goals.

In December 2016 she moved to Sweden to Eskilstuna United . After just one season, she left the club and signed with FC Rosengård . With her new club, she won the Swedish Cup in 2018 . In the 2018/19 UEFA Women's Champions League she reached the round of 16 with the Swedes, but was eliminated from Slavia Prague after a 3-2 home defeat and a goalless draw in the second leg.

National team

Fiona Brown has played for the Scottish Association since 2009. She started in the U-15 and then played in the U-17 and U-19 . She took part in the 2014 European Championship in Norway with the U-19s . On February 8, 2015, she made her senior team debut against Northern Ireland . In the 4-0 away win in Belfast she was in the starting line-up. Her first goal in the national jersey came in October 2017 against Albania when she scored the lead in a 5-0 win. With Scotland she qualified for the 2017 European Championship . At the EM, she was used in the three group games. In their first European Championship game they met England and lost 6-0. Brown was replaced in the second half minute when the score was 0: 3. In the second group game, in the 1: 2 against Portugal , she was substituted in the 67th minute. In the third game, which they won 1-0 against Spain , she was substituted on after 73 minutes. Since Portugal and Spain also lost to England, but the Spaniards won 2-0 against Portugal, the Scottish women were eliminated as third.

In qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , she was used in five games and scored her first international goal in a 5-0 win against Albania on October 24, 2017. The Scottish women qualified for the first time for the World Cup, where they will meet England in the first game, as in the European Championship. On May 15, 2019 she was nominated for the World Cup .
