Flederichsmühle is a hamlet belonging to Markt Mömbris in the district of Aschaffenburg in the Bavarian Spessart .

geography

Flederichsmühle is located in the middle Kahlgrund near Erlenbach an der Kahl , between Königshofen adKahl and Blankenbach . The settlement is in the Königshofen area, south of the Kahl – Schöllkrippen railway line and the Kahltal-Spessart cycle path .

history

On July 6, 1810, Johann Oster from Königshofen im Kahlgrund received the high princely consensus to build an oil mill in what was then Erlenbacher district. This is how the story of the Flederichsmühle begins. The name goes back to the field name Im Flederich (marsh grass) in which the mill was built.

In 1849 the entire property was shared with the house. Martin Parr, who had already taken over the oil mill in 1816, kept the part with the oil mill as an oil miller, while his eldest son Johann Parr, as a farmer, was awarded the other part, the other sons only had parts of the property. The division took place on the basis of the so-called Mainzer Landrecht, which established the succession in this area of the Spessart, even in Bavarian times, and led to the so-called real division (division of all children) and thus to the fragmentation of the property.

The division also affected the building itself. Since the original building from 1810 was very small, an extension with a second apartment was added. In addition to the built-in oil mill, which has been documented since 1810, a small grain mill facility was added in the other half of the property in 1883, but this only existed until 1928. From the beginning it was only a very small property that barely reached the bare minimum, which was further reduced by the division. In 1850 the oil miller didn't even have a day's work (0.3 ha). This poverty is also expressed in the building with the small living rooms on the upper floor, which appear to be suspended in the building. These include the small hallway ( Ern ), a kitchen-living room and a small, very low bedroom above the pan of the oil mill. There were more sleeping possibilities in the roof. The largest part of the house is intended for the technical equipment.

In 1950, 83 people lived in 13 households in the settlement.

reconstruction

In 1986, the Flederichsmühle, which had belonged to Markt Mömbris since May 1, 1978, was dismantled and rebuilt true to the original with its two undershot water wheels in the Franconian Open Air Museum in Bad Windsheim .

church

The resident Protestant people belong to the community of Schöllkrippen and the Catholics are looked after by the church in Krombach and Königshofen an der Kahl .
