Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood ( English for: " Meat of my flesh, blood of my blood ") is the second studio album by the US rapper DMX . It was released on December 22, 1998 on the labels Ruff Ryders Entertainment and Def Jam Recordings .

Dee and Waah Dean served as executive producers on the album . With ten tracks, a large part of the album was produced by the music producer Swizz Beatz , while P. Killer Trackz contributed two instrumentals. Other beats come from Dame Grease , Irv Gotti , DJ Shok and Rebel.
Cover design
The album cover shows DMX upper body free and covered in blood. At the top of the picture are the black letters DMX , while in the foreground the title Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood is in yellow. The background is kept white.
Guest Posts
In addition to DMX, other artists are represented on six songs on the album. The rappers Jadakiss and Styles P. have a guest appearance on the song We Don't Give a Fuck , while the track Coming From is a collaboration with the singer Mary J. Blige . Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood rose to number 65 in the German charts on February 8, 1999 and reached the highest position the following week at number 61. Overall, the album was able to stay in the top 100 for five weeks. In the United States, it held No. 1 for three weeks and a position in the top 200 for a total of 55 weeks.
As singles , the songs were slippin ' and No Love 4 Me decoupled.

Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood was rated triple platinum in the United States in 2000 for over 3.4 million units sold . Although it failed to chart the UK, the album earned a Silver Record there for more than 60,000 sales in 2013.
In addition, the single Slippin 'was awarded a gold record in the United States for over 500,000 copies sold in 2017.
