The Florencia is a RoPax ship of the Italian shipping company Grimaldi Lines which entered service in 2004 under the name Golfo Aranci . It is used under the charter of TTT Lines on the route from Naples to Catania and from Salerno to Messina .

history

The Golfo Aranci was laid down on December 18, 2002 under the hull number 209 at Cantiere Navale Visentini in Porto Viro and was launched on December 20, 2003. After delivery to Lloyd Sardegna on April 30, 2004, it was put into service on May 17 on the route from Piombino to Olbia .

In 2006, Golfo Aranci became the property of Moby Lines after they bought Lloyd Sardegna. After a year in the service of this shipping company, the ship was sold to Grimaldi Lines in May 2007 under the name Florencia . In the following years it was used on various routes, the starting point of which was Livorno or Brindisi .

In January 2013 to May 2015 Grandi Navi Veloci chartered the Florencia for use between Civitavecchia and Termini Imerese . The Grimaldi Lines then operated the ship again on the route from Savona to Barcelona before it was chartered to its current operator TTT Lines. Since then, the Florencia has been used alternately on the routes from Naples to Catania and from Salerno to Messina.
