Career

Buchacher started his career at Innsbruck AC . In 2004 he was promoted to the national league squad. With the IAC he was promoted to the regional league in 2006. After relegation in 2008, he moved to the regional division SVG Reichenau within Innsbruck . After Reichenau was also relegated to the national league in 2011, he joined the WSG Wattens . After he missed promotion with the Wattenern four seasons in a row, they were able to become champions of the Regionalliga West in 2015/16 and thus advance to professional football. Buchacher made his debut in the second division on the first day of the 2016/17 season against FC Blau-Weiß Linz .

For the 2018/19 season he moved to Bundesliga club FC Wacker Innsbruck , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2019. With Wacker he had to relegate from the Bundesliga at the end of the season, whereupon he left Innsbruck and returned to the WSG in Wattens, now renamed WSG Tirol , which had meanwhile been promoted to the Bundesliga .
