Bruno Gabriel Soares (born August 21, 1988 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Soares moved to MSV Duisburg in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2009 , having previously played for Associação Portuguesa de Desportos . He made his professional debut on October 27, 2009 in the DFB-Pokal - round of 16 against FC Augsburg when he came on for Olivier Veigneau in the 60th minute . He made his league debut five days later in the game against TuS Koblenz , in which he replaced the injured captain Björn Schlicke in the starting line-up. In this game he also scored his first goal as a professional: In the 34th minute he hit a header. In his fourth league game against FC Augsburg he saw yellow-red in the 85th minute, it was his first expulsion in professional football.

On January 5, 2010, Soares suffered a broken metatarsal in a test match against 1. FC Nürnberg at the training camp on the Turkish Riviera ; he was operated on three days later in the Moers Bethanien Hospital. After a three-month injury break, he returned to training at the end of March, but had to undergo another operation shortly afterwards and was therefore out for the rest of the season.

After three years in Duisburg, the defender moved to Bundesliga promoted team and local rival Fortuna Düsseldorf on a free transfer in the summer of 2012 , with whom he signed a contract until June 30, 2015.

Since his contract in Düsseldorf was not renewed, he signed a three-year contract with the Kazakh club FK Qairat Almaty on June 23, 2015 . In March 2017 he moved to Norway for FK Haugesund . However, he was not used for Haugesund and so he joined the Israeli second division club Hapoel Tel Aviv in July 2017 . After 13 appearances for Hapoel in the Liga Leumit , he moved to Malaysia for Johor Darul Ta'zim FC in December 2017 . In two seasons, however, he did not come to a single league assignment for the club.

In January 2020 he switched to the Austrian Bundesliga club WSG Tirol .
