Benjamin Ožegović (born August 9, 1999 in Velika Kladuša , Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper of Bosnian origin.
Career
society
Ožegović began his career at SK Sturm Graz . For the 2013/14 season he moved to the academy of FK Austria Vienna . After three years at the Academy of Austria, he moved to SCR Altach for the 2016/17 season , where he received a contract that ran until June 2019. In July 2016 he made his debut for the Altach amateurs in the regional league when he was in the starting line-up against SV Wörgl on the first day of that season .
After 53 appearances for the amateurs, he made his debut for the professionals in the Bundesliga in March 2020 when he came on for Anderson on the 22nd matchday of the 2019/20 season against FC Admira Wacker Mödling in the 10th minute after single goalie Martin Kobras from Place had been placed. He came to two missions by the end of the season. After four years in Altach, he left the club after the 2019/20 season.
He then moved to league competitor WSG Tirol for the 2020/21 season .
National team
Ožegović played against Iceland for the first time for the Austrian U-17 team in March 2016 . With this he also took part in the EM in the same year , where they failed in the quarter-finals to Portugal . Ožegović was used in all three of the four games during the tournament.
In September 2016 he played against Belgium for the U-18 team for the first time . Between August 2017 and March 2018 he came to two missions for the U-19 selection .
