Ferdinand Oswald (born October 5, 1990 in Weilheim i.OB ) is a German football goalkeeper . He is under contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club WSG Tirol (until 2019 WSG Wattens ).
Career
society
From the age of four to 14, Oswald played in the football department of TSV Hohenpeißenberg , a multi-discipline club based in the town of the same name in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau .
In 2004 he moved to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich , where he was active as a goalkeeper for five years. In 2007 he became German champion with the B-Jugend . For the 2009/10 season he moved up to the second team as the third goalkeeper behind Thomas Kraft and Maximilian Riedmüller . He made his professional debut in the 3rd division on November 29, 2009 (18th matchday) in a 3-0 win in the away game against Werder Bremen II . Because of numerous injuries and shutdowns of players of the second team came Oswald on 31 July 2010 (2nd Round) for his third deployment in the 3. Liga - albeit as a fielder for saër sène , the injury during 1: 1 against Wacker Burghausen be replaced had to.
In the summer of 2011 he left Bayern after they were relegated from the third division and joined the Austrian regional division WSG Wattens , where he established himself as a regular goalkeeper. The WSG Wattens achieved first place in the Regionalliga West, but then failed in the promotion relegation at SV Horn . For the 2012/13 season Oswald returned to Germany and joined the second team of FC Schalke 04 , who played in the fourth-class Regionalliga West . He left the club during the summer break of 2014.
He then returned to WSG Wattens. After Wattens had reached second place in the Regionalliga West in the 2014/15 season, they were able to become first in 2015/16 and thus advance to professional football. With WSG Wattens, he rose to the Bundesliga as a second division champion in 2019 , after which the club was renamed WSG Tirol.
National team
Oswald made his international debut on February 18, 2007, when the U-17 national team scored a 1-1 draw against Portugal in Lagos.
