David Schnegg (born September 29, 1998 ) is an Austrian football player .
Career
Schnegg started his career at FG Schönwies / Mils . Between 2009 and 2010 he played briefly at SV Zams before returning to Schönwies / Mils. From 2014 he was used for the combat team of his club. After promotion in the 2014/15 season, he made his debut in the Tyrolean League in August 2015 , when he was in the starting line-up against SC Kundl on the first day of the 2015/16 season .
With Schönwies / Mils, however, he had to relegate from the Tyrolean league again at the end of the season. In January 2017 he moved to the fourth-class SC Imst . In January 2018 he joined the second division WSG Wattens , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2018. He made his debut for Wattens in the second division in March 2018 when he was in the starting line-up against FC Wacker Innsbruck on matchday 23 of the 2017/18 season and was replaced by Florian Buchacher in the 61st minute . In March 2018, he scored his first second division goal in a 2-0 win against SC Austria Lustenau . By the end of the season he came to 15 second division games for Wattens.
For the 2018/19 season he moved to league competitor FC Liefering , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2020. In his first season with the Salzburg team he made 16 appearances and scored one goal.
For the 2019/20 season he switched to Bundesliga club LASK , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022. First, however, he was used for the second-class farm team FC Juniors OÖ . In August 2019 he finally made his debut in the Bundesliga when he started against FC Admira Wacker Mödling on the third match day of that season and was replaced by Stefan Haudum in the 52nd minute . In the 2019/20 season he made two Bundesliga appearances for LASK and 14 second division appearances for Juniors. For the 2020/21 season he returned on loan to Bundesliga club Wattens, which had since been renamed WSG Tirol .
