Stefan Hager (born January 25, 1995 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Hager started playing soccer at Innsbrucker SK at the age of seven and completed his last three seasons outside Austria, in the youth department of FC Bayern Munich .

In 2014 he returned to Austria and signed a contract with the third division club SPG FC Pasching / LASK Juniors , for which he played in the Regionalliga Mitte . He made his debut on August 30, 2014 on the 5th matchday of the 2014/15 season in a 1-1 draw in the home game against SK Vorwärts Steyr . His first league goal was the 1-0 winner on April 11, 2015 in the home game against Wolfsberger AC II .

He made his debut for the LASK professionals on matchday 36 in 2015/16 in a goalless draw in the away game against Floridsdorfer AC .

In August 2016 it was awarded to league rivals SC Wiener Neustadt . For the 2017/18 season he was firmly signed by the Lower Austrians. After the forced relegation of Wiener Neustadt, he moved to the Bundesliga club WSG Tirol for the 2019/20 season .

National team

Hager wore the national jersey ten times; he was used between 2010 and 2012 for the national teams in the U-16, U-17 and U-18 age groups.
