Florian Pfisterer (born August 24, 1978 ) is a German musician and songwriter . The musician, who lives in Munich, was the singer / guitarist of the nationwide successful band Jenson . He is currently known under the pseudonym "da Rocka" as the singer of the dialect band Da Rocka & da Waitler .

Life

Florian Pfisterer comes from Isny im Allgäu and attended grammar school there until 1997. He is a trained computer scientist . Pfisterer worked for various companies in the music industry until 2010, including as a booker and event manager for the Munich-based company südpolmusic , where he looked after LaBrassBanda , Hassliebe , Florian Simbeck and Stephan Zinner , among others . He also worked as a production manager and graphic designer at the Backstage cultural center .

From 2005 to 2010 Pfisterer was the lead singer of the rock band Jenson , with whom he played around 400 club shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2007/2008 he was part of the Radio Energy Music Tour with Jenson in Munich, Stuttgart and Nuremberg, where he shared the stage with bands like the Fantastischen Vier , Jennifer Rostock and the Donots . With Jenson he released the album Großstadtschmutz in 2007 . The song Wir wird ... , which among other things acted as the title song for the DFL League Cup on SAT1 and Pro7 , took 88th place in the German charts.

After the separation from the first label 313Music , with label boss Thomas Stein , the 2nd album Auf nie more Wiedersehen was created in 2009 under the direction of indie cult producer Kurt Ebelhäuser . The album, which was clearly rougher and harder, was rejected by the labels. The publication on my own was not very successful. The band then decided to split up.

After Jenson was dissolved , Pfisterer withdrew from the music industry. With his brother Gernot Rothenbach , the Wiesnbluesbrothers started the pure fun project in 2011 . Only the song Oktoberfestblues was published as a YouTube video under this name .

Pfisterer has been working as a musician again since 2012. As a solo artist “FloP” he published various of his own productions. The first release was the song Life 2.0 . Various titles for television and film productions and publishing followed. In addition, the ardent BvB fan wrote the official fan club song Munich is black and yellow in 2014 for the Munich BVB fan club Münchner Borussen, based on the version published in 2016 Dortmund is black and yellow . In 2016 he also published the song Winner of Hearts with a lyric video on youtube under the pseudonym . In cooperation with the Dortmund cult musicians Toxygen and Muri , the song Schwarzgelber Herzschlag was created in 2016, which served as the theme song for the social project Schwarzgelber Herzschlag of the BVB fan club Ratisbona .

In 2012 he met Florian Pledl at a wedding. They took up the idea of ​​combining rock music with Bavarian tradition and the southern German dialect. They formed the band Da Rocka & da Waitler . With Da Rocka & da Waitler , Pfisterer has played over 400 live shows to date, including major events such as the Wacken Open Air , Full Metal Mountain , the Taubertal Festival or the Woodstock of brass music . In addition, Da Rocka & da Waitler played a total of 13 shows in 2015 in the opening act for Status Quo and Uriah Heep .

In 2017 the first studio album DRDW was released on the soundtopeople label. At the same time, the music video for the song Feia was released, which was filmed in the former cult club Henderson in Munich. The legendary video by Freddie Mercury for the song Living on my own was also created in Henderson .

Da Rocka & da Waitler wereguestsin the ZDF television garden in 2017under the motto "Oktoberfest television garden". Other guests on the show included a. Voxxclub , Hansi Hinterseer and many more. from which Da Rocka & da Waitler clearly stood out with their rock / punk style.
