A new station building was in 1969, 1.5 million dollars (10.4 million US dollars entsprichtet in today's purchasing power) and built in 1979 (cost: 7,000,000 US dollars, 24.6 million US dollars adjusted for inflation) and 2003 (cost: 108 Million dollars; 149.8 million dollars adjusted for inflation) expanded.

In 1968 the Boise Interagency Fire Center was set up at Boise Airport to coordinate the authorities in forest fires . After other authorities were integrated, the National Interagency Fire Center was created in 1993 .
