Foz do Iguaçu International Airport is located in Foz do Iguaçu , Brazil and also serves other cities in the area including Ciudad del Este ( Paraguay ). It is the second busiest airport in the state of Paraná . It ranks 22nd among Brazilian airports. The airport is one of 65 owned by Infraero . It is not to be confused with the Aeropuerto Internacional de Puerto Iguazú , which is located in the Argentine province of Misiones .
In 2018 the airport had 2,342,489 passengers. Its terminal has a capacity of 2.8 million passengers annually. Wide- body aircraft such as the MD-11 (with weight restrictions) or the Boeing 767 and 737 (without restrictions) can take off and land at the airport.
