Fohrenreuth is a district of the town of Rehau in the Upper Franconian district of Hof in Bavaria .

Fohrenreuth can be reached from the center of Rehau via a connecting road, other connections lead to Pilgramsreuth and via Eulenhammer to federal road 15 .

The place is laid out as a Rundangerdorf around two village ponds. The monuments include the massive granite fountain by the village pond and a pitch stone . There are two barn houses , including one with a characteristic tailcoat roof . There are other small monuments outside the town, including the Granite Rentamtsstein from 1833 in the direction of Schönwald , which marks the border with the Wunsiedel district .

In 1398 Albrecht von Hirschberg received half of the deserted Fohrenreuth as an imperial fief . In 1402 three farms were sacked by the Weida bailiffs. The von Berg family owned the second half of the village and sold it to the Hirschberg family in 1409. From 1543 to 1643 Fohrenreuth was part of the property of the Rabensteiner zu Döhlau , after which came the successors in Döhlau , those of Kotzau , Pühel , Eckersberg and Falkenstein . In 1780 there were 15 properties on record. The Bavarian premiere contains 17 properties. Fohrenreuth formed a community with Eulenhammer and Rollmühle until 1964, which consisted of 37 households with 135 residents.
